I decided to use powershell script to handle that installation/upgrade process, and then deploy it within an application (not the package or Task Sequence).

So, I had to come up with the solution to remove older version and install new one during the deployment process. msi installer also doesn't remove older major versions of the Flash players.

We are running QBD 2019 Premier on Win 10 Build 20H2 without Adobe Flash and the PDF works normally. Rename the appropriate installer so Patch Manager can recognize the installer. If you are using Win 10 Build 2004 or later version, it would force to remove the Adobe Flash since months ago. The packages are located in the fp24.0.0.194archive folder in the 240r0194 subfolder. Configuring SCCM application with just plain. Download the Flash Player Archive for the appropriate version.

Sometimes publishers take a little while to make this information available, so please check back in a few days to see if it has been updated. In other words, it will not upgrade the major version of the product ( from Adobe Reader 11 to DC, or from Flash 18 to 27). We don't have any change log information yet for version 32.0.0.453 of Adobe Flash Player. Note that this was on Windows 7, which does not have Flash Player bundled with Windows Updates as in Windows 8+. After the patches deployment, I noticed that it will bring up the patch level to the current one, given it's been approved and downloaded in Shavlik. They were running the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 18.0 and wanted to try uninstalling the ActiveX version of Flash Player to install an older version. During my testing, I tried to deploy Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to replace Reader 11 and Adobe Flash Player 27.0.0.130 replace older versions of Flash (we had some old ones like 13, 15, 18, 21, 22). We have 3rd party software (Shavlik) installed to manage software updates, but I noticed that it is not always perfect for situations where multiple major versions of the software are installed. In June 2010 Adobe announced a 'critical vulnerability' in recent versions, saying there are reports that this vulnerability is being actively exploited in the wild against both Adobe Flash Player, and Adobe Reader and Acrobat.
